RawmanaFITNESS

ABOUT — CLAIREMONT, SAN DIEGO

A lab inside a gym.

Rawmana Fitness is a personal-training studio that also runs real body testing: hydrostatic body fat, medical composition, RMR and VO2. The numbers are the start, not the personality.

THE STUDIO

Old-fashioned coaching. New-age measurement.

Rawmana Fitness sits on Balboa Avenue in Clairemont. It is a training studio with a hydrostatic testing tank in it, which is unusual enough to explain most of the personality of the place: you can train here, and you can find out what your training is actually doing.

Coach Siaosi Veimau — “Rawmana” — describes the approach as a new age of personal trainer, done the old-fashioned way. The old-fashioned part is the coaching: a person in the room, a plan that adjusts, accountability that is not an app notification. The new-age part is the measurement: body composition, resting metabolic rate, VO2, all reviewed with you.

The studio works with people who want to rebuild their body without giving up the food they love, wrecking their social life or living on boring cardio. That sentence appears in the studio’s own material, and it is a useful filter: if the plan requires a life you do not have, it is the wrong plan.

WHAT THE STUDIO BELIEVES

Four rules behind the work.

  1. 01

    Measure first

A body-fat number from a test beats a guess from a mirror. The tests exist so the plan starts somewhere real.

  2. 02

    Keep the food you love

The studio’s position is explicit: rebuild without giving up tasty food or wrecking your social life.

  3. 03

    Train, do not just burn

The work is strength and rebuilding, not hours of long, boring cardio. The plan should protect what you have.

  4. 04

    Stay accountable

Check-ins that actually work are part of the challenge for a reason. A plan without follow-up is just paper.

THE COACH

Siaosi “Rawmana” Veimau

Siaosi coaches the training and reads the testing with you. The studio’s programs — personal training, the female and male body rebuilds, the 6-Week Challenge, nutrition and Gajo Martial Arts — all sit under the same idea: the plan should be built around the person in front of him, not a template.

The studio’s own philosophy is the best description of the coaching style: “A new age of personal trainer, done the old-fashioned way.”

“I’m stronger, no longer in pain with my bad knee and ankles, and my surfing is getting better.”

THE SPACE

A studio that can test what it trains.

The Clairemont studio is set up for strength and conditioning work, with the hydrostatic tank on site. Training also moves outside — the photos on this site show group work with tires and a log carry on the sand, both part of how the studio keeps conditioning from turning into another treadmill session.

If you want the exact equipment list or a tour, call the studio. We would rather tell you what is really there than pad this page with guesses.
